From Wq's entry, it seems like saturday was some kind of reunion day.. Well it kinda happened to me too, but cos my world is smaller, I only met one guy, Hendri Budi!! My sec3/4 buddy-scholar from Indonesia!! Third time lucky, cos first two times I saw him, once at Tampines MRT and another during Big Walk, I didnt get to talk to him. Anyway he's in NTU now and has a girlfriend, who was with him. Nice to meet someone from happier times, before I became depressed, haha. Hendri remains the person to have spent the night in my room, lol. But it was a compulsory "get to know your local" thing..
Last monday at the bus-stop outside law fac i saw a girl with ch's face! Exactly the same, just with longer hair. I almost burst out laughing and everyone was looking at me like I was a nut. Anyway I read somewhere there can be up to 10 persons on this Earth the same face as you, irregardless of gender. Talk about gene saturation. I guess its true, cos I remember seeing a girl on the train who looked remarkably like kevin many years ago.. Cant wait to meet me..
The recent mid term tests have raised a furore over the locals vs foreign students topic in the module forums. Some who didnt score well are unhappy with foreigners have no life and mug all day long. Apparently this places locals who have a life at a disadvantage. Well, its obvious which side I stand on, since I dont have a "life". If you are in an institute of education, its part of your job as a student to study and attain good grades. If you dont score well, you shouldnt blame others who do. That said, I didnt score well =S Anyway, this topic comes under a larger problem of foreign talent competing with locals in larger society. Hope to be able to comment on it later, better if you the reader(s) is/are able to chip in, cos it will also help me in my pw, haha
Talkig abt pw.. Today I was mobilised back to school for pw, sian. Next time I will force them to meet at airport.. Stronger air-con, accessible food supply, no one complains if we talk too loudly and of course, its nearer my place.
