Dr. Broke is back since he is having holidays too and on Thursday 3 of us went for supper at Bdk. The food was great, we had this supposedly famous Bak Chor Mee that only had mee and pork balls but tasted excellent anyway, and stingray! But as the conversation went on, I became increasingly quiet and eventually it was just the two of them talking.. I found it pretty intimidating since the two of them are on a much higher level than me and what they said showed a level of maturity far beyond mine. Bummer.
Later on, it became even deeper as the topic changed to reading people. Well basically, some people like to analyze others and even talk to you just to see how you react to what they say. Some people with more proficient level of sensory perception and are even able to detect when others are trying to read them. All of this was totally beyond me, but i found it extremely fascinating discovering a whole new world. Why do people even analyze other people? Maybe they are trying to maintain a semblance of order in a chaotic world, by classifying everything around them, including people. On a more practical level, they perceive your various strengths and weaknesses and use this to manipulate you, to do stuff that they want you to help them do.
The human mind is so complex, I do think we were built to act like this, analyzing and making use of each other, sadly..
