Rant & Rave II

My sad excuse for an existence took another beating today. Today pretty much summed up what the new year has been like for me; well I am not here to whine and groan about it. Someone once told me that isnt good for blogs, and I guess there is some truth in that.

Well, I am still here to complain about my day, but since I am largely over it now, I can manage to laugh at myself; which is very impt, or else I will have gone mad already. Anyway my school day starts at 2pm today, so i reached sch to have lunch with my "friends" at around 1, as was pre-arranged. Just as I got to the meeting place however, i received a msg that they were bailing out on me...-.- still ok, since i met someone else on the train, i could lunch with him

Lect started, but I was finding it hard to concentrate. Firstly there was this guy sitting near me who was very smart (he can comprehend a 2hr lect in 1/2hr by forwarding thru the webcasts) but couldnt help making smart alecky comments as the lect went on. He frequently berated the lecturer for looking lowly on him by explaining in too much detail, while I was struggling to understand what on earth the lecturer was trying to say. He managed to do this, stuff himself with nuggets and msn at the same time, making him do 4 things at once while I was trying to do just 1. Anyway, thats pretty normal, but what made things more difficult was this group of hyneas that was sitting directly in front of me going Yee Yee Ya Ya. They managed to slap each other, pick the nits out of each other's hair and complement each other on their attractiveness while creating a huge ruckus. In the end, all I got from the lect was the chickens cost $2.50. I remember William saying that they cost $40/hr. No wonder he never made it past sec sch.

Of course, just 3 hrs of this was nothing. Next was the math lect which is often overcrowded as students from other lect grps crash to listen to our wonderful lecturer. Anyway I ended up sitting on the steps because coincidentally, for the second time, there was a girl sitting in the seat meant for me, by complete coincidence. Talk about heavy colour light friends.

Sitting on the steps turned out to be pretty fun, cos I found myself next to a bunch of scholars. "Luckily", I was sick (been ill for a wk) and my frequent coughing gave me a larger than normal radius to myself. A lot of wierd stares from all around, but they fail to comprehend that I am doing them a favour by bringing down the high flyers.

Yea, normally all these dont bother me much, but the effect exponentially increases cos my world is spinning..

Last blow came just now when I checked my mail. Discovered that there are around 80 participants in the travelblog competition!! wtf.. I was expecting like 10.. now i dont expect to win at all since other ppl have gone to do charity work in Cambodia or backpacked Europe or the USA..well now my chances of winning are like 1.25%, but since my life has been one sorry chapter after another, do give me some pity votes when voting opens on 29th Jan.. Five lucky voters stand to win Coldwear vouchers worth $40 each.

Sadly the motto doesnt seem to apply to all fans
