Yet another fascinating episode of CSI (thx Oys), with guest appearances by the Mythbusters! This time, three separate cases were found to be interlinked, though not in a direct manner, but Grissom was hard pressed to explain it as he always said 'there is no such thing as coincidences'. And so he actually used String Theory, the fabled (and yet to be completed) Theory of Everything which seeks to link quantum mechanics and Einstein's Laws of relativity.
" String Theory proposes that atomic particles are made up of infinitesimal vibrating loops of energy, or strings. Each string vibrates at its own frequency, like a violin, producing notes, and these notes make up everything in the universe. These strings have been combining and recombining ever since the big bang, so the connection betweens our victims or any of us are not that extraordinary."
So in some elementary sub-atomic level, we are all connected. But there still has to be a force that binds our threads of destiny together. For acquaintances whose paths briefly cross, and lovers whose threads intertwine for a lifetime. (I think its called fate)
String theory also proposes parallel dimensions, which is no longer just confined to comics. In fact, if you do manage to travel back in time, you would be entering a parallel universe and any attempts to change the course of history would not affect our own timeline of events.
In a parallel universe, there is a me who has not made the same mistakes as I have, who has accomplished everything I am unable to. I still cannot decide whether I would love or loathe to meet perfect me.

wat u mean by perfect? by who's standards? imperfection, in the eyes of mere mortals, is perfection in the grand scale of the universe~!!
