Alone

a long time ago i was searching for some song whose name i have forgotten when i instead wound up with a kenny g track of this title.

i find it terribly exciting
to stumble upon something i like
when i was never looking for it

like finding that bbq stall with jackie

or that totally amazing busker i just went past

i'd like to call it fate

in Buddhism, there is no fate
only an infinite chain of overlapping and intertwining cause-and-effects

but to me
that is fate
every cause and effect you do not know of
or do not control

every person who falls in
and out of your life

every event that shapes your life
when you never asked for it
