The two men stepped quickly into the shade, glad to escape the clutches of the oppressive afternoon heat. They were about the same age, but the fact was obscured by their appearance, with the senior having a world weary face, looking like he had seen it all and then more; the junior still fresh faced and overflowing with enthusiasm.
The younger man quipped excitedly,"So what do you make of it sir? The accused admitted to stabbing the victim, but he claims that there was seen unseen force of attraction that drew his blade towards the victim's heart. Do you think it was a hex? Or some sort of devilry, perhaps?"
"How about an overwhelming desire to kill?
After all there is no more magic in this world"
"I wish you wouldnt say things like that, sir. It only serves to make me hate you more"
