Back up the mountain

I dont like crowds. I very much dislike taking the human travellator.
Everytime i see a large mass of people, especially that bottleneck at the mouth of the escalator at MRTs, all i can think about is how if anything happens, many people will get hurt, and most will be from everyone stampeding on one another.

In situations like these, i very much want to hurl, not because it makes me nauseous, but because if i plan my trajectory carefully and lay out the remains of my lunch properly, everyone will back off and give me some breathing space.

Perhaps i just do not like people. My wish to avoid conflict sometimes makes it hard to live with my moral conscience. Edmund Burke said, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

i think i am one of those bystanders. i couldnt be more ashamed.
