yesterday was the second time i heard about how positive thoughts is good for you, quoting the work of Masaru Emoto, who claims that human speech or thoughts can influence the structure of water crystals.
positive thoughts are very good, but they should not be supported by unproven, unscientific work. i feel it only serves to make the whole thing less credible. it may be something nice to believe in, like fate, but things like destiny are much harder to prove/disprove.
then again, if believing in something good albeit untrue works, should such a situation be changed?
