2.5 weeks are finally over. back to work, away from this parallel universe of our existence, filled with inefficiency, colourful (and sometimes shady, sometimes mentally ill) characters, mosquitoes, aches and pains and of course very good friends. it is no secret that i have no friends other than my army friends and one of the highlights of this in-camp was during ATEC when everyone put in an excellent shift and performed oh so well. to me almost everyone was a best signaller. i doubt anyone thoroughly enjoys traveling long distances to in-pro/book-in and wait to rush and rush to wait, so it was really nice to see the commitment and passion to do well and to help one another. if you ask me, the whole exercise was pretty meaningless so it was extra heartening to take away something positive from the whole experience. while we like to slack and sleep, we do show up and perform when required :)
while i always think of ICT as a period of rest where i can re-collect my thoughts, it is often that there is little time to really think and reflect. Aside from sleeping, there is reading, playing, chatting, sai-gang and of course being in the field. anyhow, there are things piling up on so many fronts that i have still managed to come to the conclusion that i really have to step up and put in more thought and effort into the many aspects of my life, to manage and plan things better. Of course, there is always not enough time so my first step was to delete my AOWE app. One small step to more productive use of my time.
- play less
- laze around less
- plan more
- think more
- exercise more
- be nicer and more considerate
