Came across this blog a couple of times already but only started really reading it today. There are plenty of mummy blogs and forums out there, but not many dad ones, so just the nature of the blog alone help its to stand out.
Reading through, I found that the blogger is pretty funny and can write pretty well. He also shares information on baby milestones, baby products as well as other useful stuff on pediatricians and old wives tales. On the other hand, it is a pity that he is a man utd fan. The clincher for me is that his daughter is already 2 years old, so I can look back on his older posts and know what to expect as Jojo develops.
The blog has accumulated quite a following and has even garnered some awards. He is even being paid to blog on Dayre! It is really quite cool when you can monetise a passion. Unfortunately I think I lack the patience to match the level of his output, though I am in need of more cash.
Speaking of cash, the blogger has plenty of it. His room is huge and I just researched some of his products - they are the premium of the premium (!) and unfortunately i lack the ability to buy the same stuff.
But i digress. The biggest learning point for me was how he really takes control of the situation. Be it in dealing with unsolicited advice (which i am sure many parents have experienced) or in dealing with the older generation, he is not shy to stand his ground, even if he knows that he lacks the relevant knowledge and experience. This is really different from how i have handled (or not handled) things, but now i am at the stage where i can only wait.
Different cuts, different strokes and all that. Hopefully I can work well and earn as much as mr noob dad.
