Thus far in my working life, perhaps because I have worked with generally capable people, and because of my reserved nature, I have not had to confront people until now.
Even so, I shrunk away at yesterday's meeting as I was ill prepared and it kept haunting me last night.
So luckily today I had a second chance to set things right, and perhaps it had a bigger impact as compared to if I had stood up properly yesterday.
Still, I take no pleasure in putting others down but it was necessary to stand up for my team and also set the record straight.
It is a tough lesson learnt, and hopefully I can be more quick thinking, articulate and plucky in the future.
