Today I finally returned to the bike shop to pump my tyres after at least two years. On previous occassions, I had been unable to fill the tyres and had only succeeded in deflating them, much to my obvious embarassment. So, I didnt want to go back again and only used a manual pump from then on. Well the pump finally died last week and I couldnt take it anymore and so had to go to the bike shop. To my surprise, I could do it quite easily. Hmm.
Turns out it wasnt necessarily a good thing, since I managed to crash not longer after that. I had just rounded a corner and couldnt compensate in time and I had barely begun to curse when I flew onto the curb. Did I mention I have faultly brakes? And I was hands-free, if that helps to make me feel any better..
