Went to watch The Prestige with ch wq and miz today. Pity could only get 3 and 1 seats so I ended up sitting by myself; but I dont mind cos I am a loner. Anyway the show is about two obssessed people trying to prove each is better than the other and they end up destroying their own lives. Oh, and the show ends up with more than one person on both sides, haha. Overall it was not bad, but some parts got predictable and should have been cut.
I want to watch The Departed, but no one else is interested. I like shows where people are plotting and scheming against each other, cos I would like to be like that, but I know I wont survive if someone plots against me, haha. Anyway, thats why Death Note is so interesting, cos its about K plotting to kill L who is trying to kill M who hates N. This is actually the adult version of Sesame Street.
There is currently a funeral/wake being held across my place. I dont know which is the correct term, so I just used both. Anyway, my neighbours seem to be pretty happy, cos they are frequently laughing and cheering, playing ball games, racing remote controlled cars and swinging hula hoops. And so it makes me wonder, when a person dies, do you mourn his/her passing or celebrate his/her acheivements? Are you supposed to be happy or sad or both? Do you say to the deceased, well done you did good, or do you say, you are such a wonderful person, the world seems more dull without you?
And I end with a quote from Death: You get what everyone else gets, you get a lifetime.
