-.-;

The night air was still and thick, with a mist descending onto the forest. Two hooded figures flitted through the shadows, moving silently and purposefully.

"Surely the end is at hand now? Our ranks have been decimated by this.. inquisition. There is innocent blood on our hands. Even the Moon hides behind the clouds." The younger of the two whispered to her companion.

"Your naiveté is too plain to see. The Moon does not reveal herself so that we may avoid detection" The elder hissed in reply.

Even as they glided through the forest, peace only returned to the forest temporarily. Mobs of men armed with torches and pitchforks followed baying hounds, crashing through the foliage.

Soon the two came to a crossroads. To the right lay the port, while to the left was the catacombs. The older female led the way, turning right.

"Its said that cats fear water. But this is stretching it. Our cats are long lost, they will not buy this! I do think if we hid in the catacombs, they would not dare to follow"

The elder was clearly beginning to get annoyed. "If everything you heard is true, we could just fly off on our broomsticks, couldnt we? We are going to the port because I have a ship waiting for us. I have studied the ancient Greek texts, there is a golden land near where the sun rises. It seems that they have a calendar that follows the Moon. Surely they will be kinder to us there."

The teen's eyes widened in excitement, then fell after a while. "But we have no money, no possessions, how do we survive?"

The older woman sighed. "We use our skills, duh"

"Eye of newt, Dragon's scale & Horses' tears?"

"Actually, before all this, I used to be a baker. I make some pretty mean pastries. I shall call them, " The senior smiled: "mooncakes"
