Pessimism vs Optimism

Just want to share this story I heard last week. I actually found it very funny, but somehow I was the only one in the whole room who laughed..

In my own words: This guy goes to the market and buys a dog which can run on water. Eager to show off, he calls his friends over and demonstrates the mutt's abilities. He brings them to a pond, and throws a Frisbee onto the water, at the same time calling to the dog: 'Fetch!'

The dog bounds over the water and brings back the disc in his mouth. And so his friends go Ooohh and Ahh with gasps of surprise and praise. Basking in his glory, he takes in the view of their adulation, and spots one guy looking glum and quite disappointed. He went forward and asked what was wrong.

His friends shook his head and sighed, 'Your dog cant swim'
