ESI(1)

Seems like i got it? strange that this period of uncertainty ends on an uncertain note because they didnt explicitly say that i got it.. anyway i am glad it is over. this was really a difficult time where i had to learn alot, mostly about how to sell myself. as the song goes, sometimes you need to lose to learn to win.

i have always viewed myself in a self depreciating light, which is way i have a problem glossing over my things and myself in general, which is why i have not been able to aggressively sell myself compared to the others, which is partly why i took so long to pass an interview.

but as fy said, if u got the passion the rest will come, and i suppose it may be a blessing in disguise that i "waited" to get this job, where i AM in the industry where i want to be. while i failed to get overseas like NEA, i think the job scope here is more suitable, sad as it may be

and as far as interviewing technique goes, it is kind of weird because i simply lost the plot. i mean, i think at the start i was pretty good, passing exxon 1st round, but later on i simply lost it..going through the motions. i mean, if i read my own cover letter or interviewed myself i wouldnt have chosen myself either. i guess this is really where mindfulness and looking from different perspectives come in. anyway thanks to everyone to helped me with my interviewing skills, esp yy and poh. but my family was always there for me too and for that i am eternally grateful. all but not least, the best advice i ever got was that "maybe god has a different plan for you" :)
