Beliefs

i think its good to be share about your beliefs, be it about religion, current affairs or just random stuff, especially with people with differing views. if you get challenged, you either manage to fend them off and become more convinced in your POV, or you fail and take up a set of better ideas. even if you end up disagreeing, i dont think that is a bad thing.

for instance, what wb mentioned about luck was really interesting and something i never heard of before. and from there you can get to see various misconceptions and prejudices, which though sad, is also eye-opening.

or when people laugh at me for giving tuition at a pittance. hahaha. after transport you hardly get back anything. actually i am getting even less cos i buy stuff for the kids, but anyway i am in it for the experience and not the money so i am happy though poorer. i think sometimes you have to get your foot in the door before you can even enter and climb your way up
