The Late Night Bus

While there are complaints abound about our over-crowded transport system, late night buses thankfully generally remain empty, other than at a few choice locations.  i usually feel a certain peace being on these almost empty buses.  the icy cold air con, the solitude that brings a calm, as well as the feeling that the bus belongs to me.

the trip is safe, comfortable and clean (though seems to be getting dirtier these days).  its great for collecting one's thoughts (including thinking of how to compose a blog post), but most of the time i will fall into a blissful, cosy sleep and always feel very grumpy when i have to get up, just hoping that the bus would keep on driving into the night.
