Storytime

As you probably, know I like stories. That’s why I totally enjoyed Star Trek and the TF2 “Meet the Spy” Trailer. Both had content, lots of humour and supplied the thrill factor, making for terrific entertainment.

Credit to the writers of Star Trek for rewriting canon by using time travel. Furthermore, they managed to reintroduce the main crew of the Enterprise while still including Leonard Nimroy, the original Spock. It was all put together very nicely and together with the personable characters and totally cool CGI battle sequences, I think it was easily the best movie I have been in recent years.

It brings back to mind my very first Star Wars film, Episode IV, which totally took my breath away. The other five episodes never came close.

Meet the Spy is another example of a great story. I think I have rewatched it over ten times. It is laugh-out-loud funny (for those who play the game) and also showcases the different skills and abilities of the spy, save for cloaking, which would be pretty difficult. Valve has been consistent in producing entertaining “Meet the” trailers, but this one is easily the best. Looking forward to medic and pyro!
