journey

commencement addresses can be rather insightful, especially if they are presented by people who have meaningful life experiences to share. Of course it also helps if they are famous.

although times may be difficult now, they do give us valuable life lessons that will come in useful in the future, just that we are not able to see it now. aside from making the present situation look less gloomy, i also do think that it makes sense, but for it to happen, we must also be able to open ourselves to different experiences so that we can get the exposure and learn what we need to learn and find what we need to find. like a good friend said, its about having the right conditions. therefore, we have to start forming the right conditions, now.

the very first condition would be to have the right attitude. when things go wrong (when, not if), we have to be able to take it in our stride and still be able to smile in the face of adversity. not a kind of masochistic smile of course, but to able to still see the good things in life and take the heat.

listen to your inner voice, and do what you love!
